My very favorite thing to manage is my Inbox as it pertains to items I have ordered online and are yet to arrive to my house. As soon as I complete my online order, I color code the email in my inbox so it stands out from the rest. I patiently await the "Shipping Status" email, color coding that one and deleting the first email, then proceed to track it every day until it arrives.
In addition to the UPS man coming to our house we've had a number of other visitors - Jehovah's Witness, Girl Scouts, man doing an appraisal of our house for our recent refinance. It was the last on that list who saw my old sign {below}, handwritten about two and a half years ago, and asked, "How old is your baby?" I said, "Two and a half." He asked, "Months?" I said, "Oh no, years." It's time for an updated sign.
A few minutes on the computer later, I had this little guy. Much more accurate and much easier to read. One year at Halloween I had a little girl tell me with quite urgency and excitement, "You better be glad I can read cursive! My little sister almost rang your doorbell!" Touche little girl and I'm glad you can read cursive cause that part stayed.
Now we all can rest in peace. Hallelujah.
My sweet Toad at our lunch date yesterday. Technically it was sick day since he had to come home early from school on Tuesday with a fever. A weird 24-hour fever later, we're all good. I like to think my 3 mile walk with Toad-in-stroller ending in lunch helped expedite the healing process.
